Anne was born and raised in central Kentucky, went to high school in Cincinnati, and graduated from Sweet Briar College in Virginia with a BA in Art. She did post graduate work at the Louisville School of Art in textile design.


After working in Charleston, South Carolina for two years as a graphic artist, Anne returned to Kentucky in 1974 to work as an art director in Louisvile. It was there that she met her husband Milton. In 1976 they were married in Cali, Colombia where they were both teaching in bilingual schools. Upon returning to the states, they drove out west and settled in Salt Lake City where they raised two daughters and where they still reside.

Anne worked as a free lance graphic artist for many years, but continued to produce her own artwork, taking part in art festivals, juried shows and exhibits. She has won many awards for her batiks and quilted batiks over the years.
